10.29 pm – In short, the coronavirus situation has screwed us all up. No matter what now happens I won’t be able to go anywhere because Italy is now all closed, could not have made this situation up. What is worse is that my son Antony and his family, in Italy, have all been quarantined. What a weird situation to be in – incredible – the safest place is in ruddy jail when one has finished the sentence! Crazy!

10.27 pm – This whole situation will change everything for everyone. Who could have predicted what has happened? Hardly anyone is alive who can remember the so-called Spanish flu of 1919. No one really gave a damn about the outbreak of Ebola because it broke out in Africa. The only reason that COVID-19 has attracted so much is that it’s affecting the rich countries – EU, USA, et al. For me? Well, I will just have to see ‘wagowon.’

10.19 pm – Nemesis was the Roman Goddess of fortune, chance, and more important – revenge. Let us hope I will not need to invoke the ancient curse of Nemesis for what has happened to me. Further evidence has come to light showing how the CCRC and the City of London police conspired to ensure I would be convicted. I will be publishing soon.

08.53 pm – Where do we stand at the moment? Coronavirus COVID-19 = 6000 + v – the world = 8 billion. However, it’s causing panic everywhere. The reaction by all governments is wholly disproportional to the death rate – for now. So, one questions: the USA has the capacity to test all of its citizens – which is nearly 400 million. Where did the USA get 400 million coronavirus test kits so quickly? Or did the USA have advance notice and said nothing to anyone?

10.00 pm – I was asked today whether Rose West was really guilty of all those murders with her husband Fred who killed himself awaiting trial. No, she was not. What she was guilty of though was not following the advice of her Counsel Richard Ferguson QC. He advised her not to give evidence. She wanted her ‘minutes of fame’ as they say, and Brian Leveson destroyed her in the witness box. Being a lesbian, a parent, a bad mother does not constitute being a murderer. If she had followed Richard Ferguson’s advice, she would today be out a free woman because she was definitely not guilty of murder.

09.16 pm – June 1974 at the sporting club in Monte Carlo and then at the Red Cross Ball was the first time I met Burt Bacharach. I could not remember until today. Sir Maxwell Joseph sponsored my trip to Monaco when I was a month short of 19. My God, why did I forget that trip and when I met Burt Bacharach in 1989 and 1990 when I was at MGM I could not remember – damn it that I’d met him in 1974. Old age brings about many memories.

07.20 pm – This country is truly hypocritical it calls Iran a country without justice and questions the conviction of Nazanin Radcliffe. However, Iran released all 90,000 prisoners weeks ago including all foreign nationals whilst this hypocrite country release zilch leaving 100,000 at serious risk. The conviction of 10% of those in jail are questionable in this county and that is some 9,000 people!!! But then what can you expect from a country that without the Romans coming here they would not even have roads?

08.40 pm – There is news that the Government have been shamed into ‘considering’ releasing about 4,000 prisoners who have 2 months left to serve. This is pure madness. They need to release those with 2 years left to serve to make any real difference but then again does the government really care about those who transgress the law and who, now, are on the front line without protection? No is the answer.

09.11 pm – I am truly pissed off. In 2010-2012 I, and a scriptwriter, and graphic artist, were working on a six-part series of 90-minute TV dramas, for Italian TV on Toto, Sordi, Tognazzi, De Sica and I can’t remember the other ones. Now I see RAI TV have simply stolen, yes stolen my project and probably script too and there is fuck all I can do about it – or is there???

10.15 pm – Today it came to light that: –
- 13 prisoners have died as a result of COVID-19.
- 207 tested positive.
- Turkey has released a further 91,000 prisoners’ having released 60,000 earlier.
- Most of the 148 countries that have COVID-19 have released prisoners.
- This country has promised to release.
(a) pregnant women
(b) 4,000 prisoners who have less than 2 months left to serve
- This country has released to date no one and as one member of staff said to me ‘by the time they get round to releasing anyone, the 8 weeks will be up and those pregnant given birth.
Thus, you can understand my grave concerns especially as I have found the unlawful sentence imposed on me. I just have to hold my nerve and be patient, even though it is really hard. We all try our best but sometimes the best is not good enough and one may have to re-evaluate life.

09.49 pm – In order for the Government not to be challenged on their policy about Coronavirus they have closed the Courts. As a result, no one can judicially review their policy and the media have been indoctrinated into putting fear into people. There is definitely something in this Coronavirus debacle but we are not being told the whole truth which must be much more than we are told. For my part, I’m stuck here as a piggy in the middle and, can do zilch.

06.45 pm – Today was a nice sunny day but with a slight wind. Still managed to get few hours of sun. Philip Sapsford QC has made a superb submission to the Lord Chief Justice on my behalf. We will see, soon, how it all pans out. This country is in a state of total, almost, police state. Well, look at it this way.
- No parliament.
- No Courts sitting.
As a result, ministers cannot be held accountable for fuck all, and worse if you go on television and slag off the government you get censured by Ofcom!!! There is something very sinister going on and it’s nothing to do with any poxy virus. What it is – we don’t know. There was a report about the World ending on 29 April 2020 but how can the world end when it has not even begun?

08.44 pm – I was looking over some of the songs I recorded the last few years before I was wrongfully convicted. There are over 100 cover songs and a few that I wrote myself. I always remembered the great backing melodies of Peter, Paul, and Mary. Have a listen to some of their songs and then the backing vocals on my songs, they sure as hell inspired me.
08.46 pm – Today I was quite moved by the report of Sally Lockwood at Sky News on the state of Italy. A truly great piece of reporting.

08.39 pm – The below is what I mean about how British Justice simply fails to work. Gordon Parks did not kill his wife, and all know that, but then to clear his name means the police got it wrong and the public would lose faith in them. So, Gordon Parks is dead and the British Justice does not give a damn about his family and that is the shame of the British legal system.

09.29 pm – Philip Sapsford QC and David Martin Sperry have filed a truly exceptional application to the Governor here. The Courts get back to work next week. The problem for me is that next week is always the effing carrot, and soon I will eat the damn thing just to get rid of it.

07.24 pm – I asked my son to post the following: ‘As soon as the dying stops, the forgetting begins’ make what you will of it. Today, fuck all happened that the same did not happen yesterday’ – the day before that etc – namely the square root of eff all. It’s OK because I can take this injustice but at some stage, there will have to be an accounting exercise and someone will have to pay. For now, though, we smile and move forward and just keep on breathing.
